Cassidy's Hope Run & Bike Show

The heavy morning rains gave us a slow start this year but the kind, generous hearts of our supporters helped us to end the day with many smiles! This year’s Poker Run benefitted two families. Katelin Magyar, age 5, and Lorenzo Sanchez, age 19 were our “Hope Children.” We were happy to have both the Magyar and Sanchez families in attendance.

Our Poker Run began with registration at Century Harley Davidson in Medina, Ohio and ended with a wonderful party complete with buffet at Rico's Bar & Grill in Brunswick, Ohio. Our stops included Akron Children's Hospital (thank you to the riders for bringing gifts to the hospitalized children), The Doug Out, Adult Day Care Center, Sidetrack Cafe, Frankies, Trading Post, and Geno's.

We had 37 devoted riders come out in the rain to participate in the Poker Run. Many supporters turned out for the after party and buffet dinner sponsored and served by Ricco’s Bar & Grill. Our guests this year were so very generous. Many of our cash prize winners donated their winnings back to the event. We raised nearly $4,000 which the families of our “Hope Children” will share.

We would like to thank our families and friends, our volunteers, our sponsors, Rico's Bar & Grill, all the businesses that donated our wonderful raffle prizes, Renegade, Don the D.J., our amazing Cassidy's Hope Foundation Board Members, Akron Children's Hospital for their support, the 37 dedicated riders who rode in the rain to support our event, and all of our guests that attended for helping us make this Poker Run a success. It was a special honor to meet our wonderful Hope Children and their families.

2nd Annual "Auction of Hope"

Bowling for Hope Event

The 'Bowling for Hope' event was a huge
success. Everyone who attended had a good
time. Everywhere I looked I saw smiles and
laughter! Together we raised over $6,000.00
for the children! Thank you so much to all who participated, donated items, donated food, sponsored lanes and volunteered. Dagwoods in Medina and Skully Jaxx in Brunswick were very generous supporters of this event. Geppetto's in Medina and Hungry Howie's pizza donated the delicious pizza's that were enjoyed by all. Please do me the favor and patronize these four local businesses who have been so supportive of Cassidy's Hope Foundation. They opened their ovens and fed us well at the bowling event! I know that Skully Jaxx gyros were a crowd favorite! We have had many requests to host this bowling event again. We are in need of a corporate sponsor to sponsor the bowling alleys $1,950.00 fee. If you know of a corporation that would be willing to sponsor the lanes for the next Bowling for Hope, please phone Pam Czech at

Rally in the Alley

Thank you to all who attended and volunteered at the June 11, 2010 Rally in the Alley at Main Street Café in Medina. With your help we were able to raise almost $4,000.00 to continue helping the children. We also thank Kohl’s and their volunteers for their help and generous donation.

Cassidy's Hope Run

Thank you very much for participating in Cassidy's Hope Foundation's Hope Run. This year's Hope run benefitted the family of Joey Karam. We were blessed to have Joey and his amazing family join us for a while at the after party. As a team, all the supporters and friends of Cassidy's Hope Foundation raised $5,000.00 for the Karam Family. This year's Hope Run had over 100 riders from around Ohio and the United States.

We thank all the locations on our route: Century Harley, On Tap, Adult Day Care Center, Side Tracks, Garage Bar, Skully Jaxx, and Riccos.

We also thank everyone and every business that donated prizes, Dagwood's (located in Brunswick's Buzzard's Roost) for the pastry trays, Brenda for cooking the delicious food. Friends are still talking about Brenda's delicious potato salad!

Please continue to support the businesses that support Cassidy's Hope Foundation. We thank all our volunteers and board members and most of all we thank all the people that participated in the Hope Run.

Your generosity and desire to help us help the children is so appreciated and heartwarming. We look forward to seeing you all at our upcoming events. Please continue to keep the Karam family in your prayers.
