NATIONAL CHILDHOOD CANCER AWARENESS MONTH

From the Heart” division is a program consisting of but not limited to gifts donated and purchased by business owners, groups or individuals, and Cassidy’s Hope Foundation to ease the burden of running a household on a daily basis during such a stressful time: house cleaning gift certificates, gasoline gift cards, pre-made dinners, movie rental gift cards, calling cards, etc. for families of children diagnosed with cancer. This is a newly organized division and it is still growing. Within 5-years our goal is to be able to help these families with other items that may aid in the needs of the child diagnosed such as but not limited to; household expenses such as mortgage or rent and utilities, house reconstruction for handicapped children. As a large percent of children with cancer end up in wheel chairs due to treatments that deteriorate their bones/muscles and cause long lasting side effects.

**Should you need or know a child that might need, a wheel chair, bedside commode, walker, or hospital adjustable bed, please contact us. Keep in mind that our rentals come with a No Charge agreement. Note: I used a "spare" wheel chair with Cassidy when we went to parks and ballgames so her good chair wouldn't get ruined. Please note: We would love to start doing more for our families. One way in which we can start si for you to help. We are in need of gasoline gift cards, grocery store gift cards, dining gift cards, movies passes, and anything on that order. The more we get donated - the more we can do for our families. We were able to help 9 families in 2007 some of which we do still keep in touch with. We would like to be able to help anyone that contacts us at anytime.
